"Bonnie is an extremely sensitive and emotional mare that has been passed from yard to yard to sell, being under constant pressure to conform and perform to a high standard. When I first found her she was 6 years old and extremely fed up with life. She would nap, rear, leap, shiver at any touch or pressure when ridden and hated any kind of attention or physical touch. After having her for nearly 2 years now she is a completely different horse; she has so much character, is so curious and loves every part of her day.
I asked for Amanda's help because she still holds onto deep-rooted anxiety, stress and trust issues due to the trauma she has been through in the past. I felt that I had done all that I could as she is happy with me but doesn't even try to associate with other people and I want her to trust again.
She was lame at the time and I couldn't get vets to assess her as she wouldn't let them near her and would turn aggressive as she was terrified. I booked for her to have a back massage but she wouldn't let the lady touch her at all. I had to be careful with my Farriers as she would only let certain people approach her. I was worried about her safety...what if she got Colic or seriously injured herself and couldn't be helped as she wouldn't let anyone other than me near her.
With regard to the Healing session, firstly, I had to see it to believe it. Knowing what Bonnie is like, I was completely out of options and had no idea if the healing would make any difference or not.
For the first session, Bonnie was completely on edge and uncooperative. Amanda was so understanding and patient and we just spent some time trying to get to know each other. Although Bonnie was very intrigued by Amanda, she kept her guard up. I know Bonnie takes time to get used to people so we booked another session for a couple of weeks time. In this session Bonnie took to Amanda almost straight away after just a few minutes of being on guard. She showed to release a lot of tension by constant licking and chewing and in a relaxed state of mind. By the third session Bonnie was obsessed with Amanda! So happy to to see her, smell her and give her kisses. It was amazing she was almost completely knocked out when Amanda was healing her, she was trying her heart out to let go of stress and tension and myself and Amanda were both overwhelmed with how well she reacted, it was actually very emotional.
I have noticed a difference in Bonnie's behaviour from the start of the sessions. She's always extremely relaxed straight after the sessions and has generally tried to have more trust in me when putting her in situations that used to stress her out.
I don't think I have ever met anyone who has such a deep-rooted connection to horses. She has as much love and care towards Bonnie as I do. I know that Bonnie loves her too. Amanda always checks up on me after a session and constantly supplies me with new ideas and ways to help with Bonnie's healing.
Like I said, you really have to see it to believe it. I had very low expectations as to whether it would work because I know how unforgiving and guarded Bonnie is all the time. It can take months for Bonnie to adjust to anything out of her comfort zone, but it has made a huge difference and I am looking foreward to future progress."

"Amanda gave my horse Luna a combined Healing and Massage session in July 2018. Luna was very nervous with trust issues when I got her, also headshy and didn't like her feet being picked up. She was far more tolerant than I thought she would be, 'softening' to what was happening as she gradually became more at ease. Amanda was the first person who Luna allowed to work on her with that degree of closeness as, in the past, she has reacted considerably to anyone who has not taken the necessary time she needs.
After Amanda finished her treatment, Luna rested her head in my arms as if to say 'thank you'. This is very unusual as Luna is very nervous of people round her head area."

"I own an ex racehorse called First who I have had now for 11 years. She is a very willing and calm horse usually although, as a thoroughbred, she can also be very reactive should something upset her. Having previously used a similar treatment for her and a previous horse, I got in touch with Amanda to try and help us, as we had been through a huge change of yard and move 200 miles, plus the stress of me losing my father just after the move. First was clearly picking up on my emotional state and finding it very hard to settle into her new home.
My concerns, primarily, were to help First to settle. She would also rush to come in from the field, sometimes rearing and becoming very explosive and somewhat dangerous, and other times she would be very calm and quiet. I was not able to work out the trigger of this behaviour. It was possible that there were other influences and issues that were bothering her and I needed to find the best way to help her through it. I had every faith in Amanda's work and that it could only be of benefit to both of us.
Amanda works in a very calm and quiet way and really listens and watches how the horse reacts to her. I spent the time watching First and how she was responding to Amanda, being very calm with a soft eye and moving her body to indicate which area she needed Amanda to work on. I found Amanda spot on with the communication side of the session, filling in the missing links to enable me to carry on with our own journey and relationship. After 2 days, First was very calm coming in from the field and totally different in her demeanour as well. I felt First would benefit from a further session and I would say that the second session instilled the first.
I think animals would be in a better place if more owners would be open minded enough to turn to this type of treatment - as I am sure it is what animals would choose themselves - in order to help them through and cope with the pressures we put them under in order to have them as pets."

"I contacted Amanda regarding my 15 year old Border Collie, Ben, who I got from a Rescue at 2 years old. Ben is suffering from Arthritis because of his age. Also, since moving home, he had stopped eating his food.
Ben had two Healing sessions with Amanda and the difference is amazing. He has started eating again and seems more relaxed. I am sure the Healing helped his Arthritis. I would highly recommend Amanda for Healing if your dog has any health problems. Thank you Amanda."
