Amanda is a registered and fully insured animal and equine healer with the Healing Animals Organisation founded by Elizabeth Whiter in 2005 to provide for animals in need.
Amanda has always loved animals, she is passionate about horses and has a deep empathy with them. In 2015 Amanda started her journey with the Healing Animals Organisation after a lightbulb moment when she realised that her vocation was to be a Healer and to help animals be happier and live a life free from stress and fear.
She started her training with Elizabeth Whiter in 2015 thereby attaining the Diploma in Animal Healing in 2016 followed by the Diploma in Equine healing in 2017 and certificate in Equine Massage in 2018.

Amanda's journey with her own horse has been instrumental in helping her to understand horses and to treat them with love, respect and kindness and know that horses never do anything without a reason. Horses are always teaching us - we just have to listen and have an open heart.
Amanda has worked mostly with dogs, cats and horses as a Healer doing energy work and also in a Volunteer capacity at Horseshoe and Handprints on their therapy horses used for children with Autism or anything on the neurological scale. These therapy horses carry their responsibilities very seriously and welcome the healing which can trigger a release so that they can let go of their emotional burdens. After qualifying in Equine Massage she was given the opportunity to work on rescue horses integrating Healing with Massage. This is a profound combination as many horses who have suffered abuse / trauma have not experienced touch in this way and it gives them a safe space to relax and learn to trust again.

Amanda has also had a very personal journey with dogs after having been attacked by a failed rescue sheepdog that badly lacerated her leg and she was later diagnosed with PTSD. This attack had lasting repercussions after numerous other incidents and made it very difficult to embrace working with dogs. After doing a lot of research into the different breeds and learning about canine behaviour she realised how important it is to be able to read a dog's body language in order to assess whether they were showing signs of stress, fear or aggression. This lead to her doing the Diploma in Canine Communication with the Centre of Excellence where she qualified in 2019.
Amanda has now attained Diplomas with the Centre Of Excellence in the following subjects:
As part of Amanda's continued professional development she has also attained certificates in the following: Equine Gut & Diet (September 2019), Whole Horse Dissection with Dr Antonia Milner-Matthews (March 2020), Equine Biomechanics: Gait and Rehabilitation Exercises (September 2020) and an Equine Dentistry day (May 2021) all in Association with Rose Applied Therapies & Courses. |
Having been drawn to Classical dressage, Amanda now has a very special Lusitano gelding, Divo, in her life who has also been instrumental in helping her develop on her spiritual path. Sadly, her beautiful Ragdoll cat Karma had to be put to sleep at the grand old age of 20 after suffering a broken leg. He will be forever remembered and missed.
Amanda has now rehomed a beautiful Ragdoll Seal Tortie girl called Lulah who has brought much joy and laughter into her home.
Having felt very guided to pursue Animal Communication in greater depth. In June 2020 Amanda embarked on a Diploma in Animal Communication with Stonebridge College and in October 2021 was awarded a Diploma with Distinction. This highly fascinating and comprehensive course has given Amanda much insight into the complexity of an animal's mind and how they choose to communicate with us. She has found that communicating with an Animal before visiting has provided valuable insight into the animal's character conveying a sense of who they are and any concerns they may have; whereby the Animal recognises Amanda's energy from the communication. This, in turn, deepens the connection and enhances the response to healing as the trust will already be there.
In August 2021 Amanda attained a Diploma in Chi Gung with Centre of Excellence having been drawn to it initially to further explore the concept of energy when working with horses at liberty. What it has taught her has profoundly changed her life and her connection with her horse Divo on an 'energetic' level simply because it changes your internal energy. When you slow your body down you calm your emotional energy down. A horse's heart energy field is five times greater than ours showing that they have a high level of energetic sensitivity so they are very aware when we are stressed or anxious or carrying negative energy around which can build up but which we might not be aware of. Amanda then went on to study the Dragonfly Training System in April 2024 and attained a Certificate in Dragonfly Chi Kung Instructor Training and is qualified to teach Dragonfly Chi Kung, Zhengong Chi Kung Meditation.
Dragonfly Chi Kung movements go back thousands of years and this beautiful sequence has been put together to provide a continuous flow from one movement to another so that Chi is more easily cultivated.
Chi Gung evolved 5,000 years ago when Siberian shamanism came to China. Chi means 'life force energy' and Gung means 'skill' of gathering, circulating and applying that energy. It consists of breath work and coordinated movement with slow, balletic flowing routines based on the rhythms of Nature.
It would be of enormous benefit to anyone who rides at whatever level as it will give you a wonderful foundation and promote a natural harmony between you and your horse as it takes you into a deep inner state of calm and confidence. The results are immediate so it is a great thing to do before you go and see your horse. He will notice and feel this difference!
Please get in touch if you are interested in attending a Chi Gung class or workshop (see section on Chi Gung classes)
